It has been a busy few months on the Sunshine Coast. Stages 1 and 2 are now complete and handovers are continuing through Stage 3.
Welcome To Gympie
The Gympie region is a place of natural beauty. From stunning landscapes and breathtaking coastlines to majestic forests and abundant wildlife.
Situated 1 hour’s drive northwest of the Sunshine Coast is Gympie, a regional city that’s home to stunning countryside, incredible produce and some of Australia’s best investment opportunities.
Gympie is a city that has always thrived on its agricultural surroundings. Set amongst rich plantations of staple crops and tropical vegetables, Gympie serves as one of Queensland’s primary agricultural hubs.
Here, locals enjoy a mix of heritage charm and modern city, with Gympie Council shifting its focus to the future-proofing the region. Recent growth in the Wide Bay Burnett area has benefited Gympie handsomely, and current projections show that the city will expand by over 5,000 people in the coming decades.
This growth is fuelled by a public and private investment pipeline worth almost $20 billion. This includes $14.2 billion for a pumped hydro plant at Borumba Dam, $4 billion worth of solar farms, and more than $1 billion in upgrades to the Bruce Highway.
As spending in the region increases, Gympie continues to draw internal migration from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. New residents are searching for a semi-rural lifestyle and affordable living alternatives, and Gympie is welcoming them with open arms.
The promising investment pipeline, growing demand for agriculture, and Queensland’s shift towards a tree-change means that Gympie has become a fantastic opportunity for tenants and investors alike.
